The Istituto Superiore Silvio Ceccato (Silvio Ceccato High School) organised a cycle of meetings entitled “Quello che le imprese cercano” (What companies are looking for) in collaboration with the international work agency Synergie Italia and the most important territorial companies.

Over four days the students, divided according to their study programme (mechatronics, computing, technical maintenance, administration/accounts), had the possibility of hearing directly what skills are preferred by companies when looking for new professional profiles.

Calpeda was happy to take part in this initiative, which was devised to favour the meeting between school life and the working world, and to contribute in directing young people towards their future choices.

During the days dedicated to the mechatronics and mechanical maintenance sectors, Carlotta Lorenzi, planning and control manager, together with Massimo Taroni, production manager, presented Calpeda’s business and its company philosophy to the students.

“Calpeda has always been appreciated for being a family first of all, even though it’s a company projected towards the international market.” explained Carlotta Lorenzi. “In our vision, attention to product quality, clients and sustainability stand out. It’s very important for the people who work for us to share our values.”

Massimo Taroni, instead, lingered on the knowledge and the technical and transversal skills that are required: “The so-called soft skills are extremely important in today’s labour market. The people we look for must above all demonstrate their curiosity, desire to learn and ability to relate with both their colleagues and their superiors. There is also another characteristic that Calpeda considers as being extremely important: maturity, in other words awareness of the results that your actions can cause over time.”
